The Sweet Smell of Roses

That's what I was
smelling while
mowing around the
two old-fashioned
rose bushes in our yard
the other day....

I was mowing...

the bees were pollinating...

the sweet rosy
scent was
drifting across
the grass...

it all took me
back to
my childhood...

I would pull the pedals
off the rose bush in front
of our house....
then throw them in the air
while I jumped off the picnic table!

a crazy thing to do
but, I was happy!!

What are your sweet summer memories
made of?

I love your memory!!! How cute you must have been jumping around with rose petals...that rose bush looks like the wild roses my parents have all over the farm...some are HUGE bushes...they are the flower of our province.
Thanks for linking in and sharing your flaunt today!!! I always love seeing all the pretties everyone shares! Have a great weekend friend
