Color My World Please

I'm Dealing with Mid-February "Blahs"
here on the prairie....

It's been a very forgiving Winter
this year and I'm not complaining!

But,
May is still 2 months away
and I'm going color crazy!

You know....
tired of brown, tan, and shades of gray!
What little snow we have is covered with dirt and dust,
even our blue skies aren't producing
any pretty white clouds to photograph!

I want some color in my life!!

So I'm reaching back to October
for some medication....

Calling out to our friend the Lapidary
(this is serious folks)
Want to join me for some serious therapy?

Okay, look it up first...
Lapidary ~ 1. A person who works at cutting, polishing,
engraving gems.  2.  A dealer in precious stones or the art of working with them.

Now...
Last fall our friend came from Iowa
to hunt pheasants and brought his famed
bag of rocks.
Well, when he dumped it out on my kitchen counter
I nearly fell off my rocker!
I had never seen so many beautiful stones
and natural rocks (what I call them) made into gorgeous jewelry!

Stunning!!

Gorgeous!!

take-your-breath away...

"Take a deep breath",
I reminded myself.

                                           Necklaces.....

                                  Rings......

                               Belt Buckles....

                            Bracelets......

Every piece a one-of-a-kind....

unique and original....

something for everyone...

COLORFUL   Enough??....

How about Red Mediterranean Coral?
(looks like a mid-summer night to me)

Or a Kingman Seafoam Nugget
(I'm sure the Goddess of Sun had one like it?)

Are you feeling better yet?....

 "I am."

Of course one thing would cure me totally
of the February "Blahs"....

and that is: something turquoise
in a sweet little box with a red ribbon!!

Are you Valentine shopping this weekend?

You could give our friend a call...
look him up here...
I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

and
keep this post handy to
fight the February "blahs"...

did you know...

Jade opens and heals the heart, frees one from anger, selfishness and greed...

Garnet is great for strengthening physical and emotional energy...

Amethyst is wonderful for transmuting all forms of negativity...

I learned that all on his site!

Have a colorful weekend
and stay warm friends!

Lisa, you know I love rocks, and these rocks you have shown us in this post are Gorgeous! I am always in awe of people who can make such beautiful jewelry, I have some beads here but never seem to be able to string them together in beautiful combinations like these. And to think they are all natural minerals. Just beautiful!
Lisa,

Your photographs of the jewelry are as lovely as the jewels. I shall check out the site! Love the turquoise.

Happy Valentine's Day!

What a lovely collection of colour, certainly made a change from looking at all the snow outside the window. Yes we had more last night, oh and by the way those cats have now been given a little house to shelter in!

Oh just what I needed! It's so drab outside this time of year. I think that's why I love my bright and pretty chickens so much. They bring a nice little natural splash of color to the yard! I love "rock" jewelry as well. I don't own any gold jewelry other than my wedding ring and I am happy with that!
