The Prairie Moon

Last month I added
Farmers' Almanac Moon Phase Calendar
to my Google Homepage...

Now I wake up to see the latest blog posts,
the weather forecast,
Best Day Tasks, and the moon phase...

I know, it's the exciting life of a country girl!!

We are fortunate to see so many beautiful skyscapes
here on the prairie,

On April 24th I was out with the camera...
the clouds were floating in, setting up for another
awesome sunset....
the moon was high
and now I know that it was a
Waxing Crescent (10% of Full)

I headed to the back yard to
tuck in the children chickens,
Goodnight Sully...
Goodnight Girls!

I spotted the choke cherry blossoms
almost glowing in the moonlight!

A moth decided to fly in
for a little bedtime snack....

Lucy decided to take the night watch....

We love our county nights...
and stargazing...

Last night's moon...

Waxing Gibbous (97% Full)...

Cloudy and stormy here today...
Hope it clears out
so I can shoot the moon tonight!!

Have a glowing day, friend!

Gorgeous . . . artistic . . . I loved this!
Amazing photos!! I love looking at the moon, and your pictures are exactly why! I'm hoping we can get a glimpse of the 'super moon' tonight as well--Paws crossed! Enjoy your weekend!
Wonderful photos! I hope you can get a shot of the "supper moon" tonight. It's cloudy and stormy here today too so doubt if we'll get to see it.

Great collection -- it's not easy to get good photos this late.

Glorious pictures of the moon and the silo, too. Will you photograph the moon tonigh? It is supposed to be the biggest because it is the closest to earth. From your vantage point, you should have a wonderful view. Here it looks thunder clouds will be in the way. Darn.
