A Garden Tour

Saturday I was still whittling away
at a list a mile long of things
to do both inside and outside...

Our girls were arriving that afternoon
from Kansas City!

The blow up pool that we set up
on Wednesday already had a small
leak in it, so I had a mission to get
to Kmart early and get a replacement!!

There was one problem...
Huron's Garden Tour was that morning
and I haven't been on a garden tour
for years!!

Sometimes you just have
to rearrange the priority list
and do something for yourself...

Right??

I thought to myself...
"Lisa, if you only go to a couple
yards, you'll have time
to get the pool,
get the groceries,
and get to the farmer's market
and still get home by noon to scrub the kitchen floor!"

PHEW!

The two yards I really wanted to
see were the homeowners of
my favorite gift shop/greenhouse/landscape center
and
the home of some classmates of mine...

Both homes and yards
were absolutely gorgeous
and worth the time it took
from my schedule

follow me through two beautifully
landscaped yards.....

After seeing all the perfectly
manicured flower beds and gardens
I just wanted to hang out there
for the rest of the week!!

But I didn't...

I decided to chill out about all the housecleaning
(the grand-kids are just gonna mess it all up anyway)

I got another pool and headed back to the farm....

where Grandma is gonna chill out
with the kids!!

Have a Happy Day!!

I just love garden tours!
Glad to hear that you got a pool, especially with the weather we have had.
What part of KC are your girls from?

Enjoy!

We missed both of the garden tours this summer. Just too busy. You saw some lovely gardens. The tours can either really inspire us to do greater gardening or they depress us because our thumbs aren't quite as green. Enjoy the grand children. They give any garden beauty.
