A BIG Country Celebration

A big anniversary celebration
is planned for this weekend....

this little church on the prairie
will be celebrating it's
125th year
of serving parishioners
from the Hand Country and Buffalo County area.

Sunday August 26th
the celebration will begin
with a 10:30 a.m. Mass
Following the service there will be a potluck dinner,
Following the meal, the celebration will include
games, displays, and some surprises.

The Miller Press did a nice story
on the history of the church,
if you're interested please
follow this link...

All are invited to this event.
Organizers are asking for any photos
or historical items be brought to the event to share.

Sall and I will be there!  Sall Construction installed
St. Placidus' first ever bathroom last fall!
(that got us a special invitation:)
I think it was all part of the big plan
leading up to a big celebration...

It will be a fun afternoon,
a tent will be set up in the church yard
and hopefully nice weather will grace the day!

Hmmm, better put on my thinking cap
 for a potluck dish....
Potato Salad??
Cucumber Salad??
mmmm, I'm already tasting all
those great church lady recipes....

and feeling full already!
