An Autumn Walk

Are you like me and the squirrels...

busy scurrying around 

getting ready for winter??

This cold weather has put me 

into high gear!

Opening pheasant weekend

is just two weeks away!

We'll have a few guests to put up,

so I've been converting the 

pickle/canning kitchen

into a hunter's retreat!

Last week on a quick 

supply run into town,

I decided to check out the "Nature Trail"

Shhhhh, don't tell Max!!

I knew the leaves were falling

fast, and if I didn't

go shoot some pictures

NOW

my chance would 

be GONE!!

It was a fun little

escape!!

So quiet!

I checked under 

the old stone bridge

for any trolls!

(they must have migrated

south already.)

One squirrel, two deer

and 

ME...

I could have easily

sat down on this bench 

and just done

nothing but listen

to the trees swaying in the wind

and watch the leaves

dancing in the breeze.....

Maybe tomorrow?
