Winter Is For the Birds

Happy Saturday, friend!

the birds in our back yard
have picked every seed out of
every frozen crevice...

now they sit on the fence
and wait for Sall to bring
his bucket of corn out to them....

we like to keep everybody
happy around here!

Pheasants,
Chickens,
Robins,
Sparrows,
Bluejays,
Finches,
and
this Redpole
have all been feeding
rampantly today,
getting ready for the frigid cold
weather coming in the next few days!

4 below 0 tonight!!
Brrrr! I hope they have a nice warm nest
to cuddle up in!!

Absolutely beautiful photos. Love seeing your Redpole . . . I am still waiting for some to appear. Cold, cold weather seems to bring them out!

The pheasants on the fence is a beautiful photo! I like the redpoll, too. We don't see those around here.

Lisa, much the same weather here, too, and I've been feeding the birds every day. I can't imagine trying to stay alive in this below zero weather, it's amazing how they do it.

Let's hope warmer days are ahead.

Hopefully, the cold snap has left you Lisa. We had 40s today, but it was still chilly.

Love the photos, especially the redpoll. Thanks so much for stopping by today -- so nice to see you. :)
