Rain and Frustration

Another rainy day here....so far 4 inches in 4 days!! ONLY 56 Degrees on JUNE 14!!!

We are sick of clouds and rain!

Gazanias only open up when the sun shines....

If I were a flower, I'd be a gazania!!

I'm naming her Erna

The cold and wet conditions aren't keeping her from pecking out a living!

When things get rough she just keeps on pecking!

Our dear friend Erna Bauer just passed away at the age of 90.

She thought this breed of chicken was so pretty!!

I often think of Erna and the old gal's that survived many winter's on this challenging prairie.
