You've Got Mail

You've Got Mail...one of my favorite romantic comedies...released in 1998.
(Can't believe it was that long ago!)
It was about two business rivals Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks hating each other in the office and falling in love over the internet.  I still pull this one off the shelf and watch it when husband's not home, what a great story!!
I don't know why I'm bringing this up, besides the fact that we have a new mail box and husband's going away for 2 nights....hmmm, I hope the VCR still works.

Pickle Man is heading for the Hills to see if he can stir up some new business.
I'm staying here and tending to the watering!  It's going to get close to 100 degrees tomorrow, watering will be critical until our next downpour.
Hot and muggy is just what the corn likes!  The parts that didn't get flooded are now tasseling.
I think the choke cherries will be early this year?
We must be sure to get them before the birds this year!!

My "stargazer" opened up finally!!  What a treat...every time I look at it, it makes me think of Hawaii!
Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Okay, okay, back to reality here.....................

So, like I was saying, we got a new mail box...
No, not one to replace an old one
A NEW MAILBOX as in NEW ADDRESS!!
We've only lived here for 7 years and have never changed our address from the P.O. Box in Wessington Springs!!
Why? You say?
Well, uhhhh, well.....mmmmmm,
maybe sentimental reasons? 273's my # since 1976.....
convenience, we're in town about every day anyway....
How about fear of change,
or laziness (do you know how many things there are with your address on it...checks, bills, business cards, pickle labels, etc.,etc.)
And then there was the war with the Hand county mail carrier...we finally had to call the main office to even get on the route!!
and the list of procrastinations goes on and on.
But, here we are 7 years later and we finally have our very own mail box!!
So, if you want to send us a card (we love cards vs. bills) send it to 36854 218th St. Wessington, SD 57381.
We'll be happy to open our new mail box and read your thoughts, see your pictures, fill your pickle orders, or whatever the case may be.
And we'd just love to fill up that Hand county mail carrier's car with tons of mail for the Sall Farm! Ha, Ha!
Yes, the fine print says "School of Hard Knocks" cause quite frankly,
most of the time that's what it is!

You do know that the federal government now owns your mailmox and you must do as they say and only open as they dictate? No funny stuff now Sall!
