Toboggans and Trucks

Ever wished for a real Christmas in the country?

You can share one with us!

When I was a kid, Dad would pull the toboggan
behind his old truck out in the pasture.
That was an unforgettable sledding experience.

What is one of your favorite winter memories?

Happy Holidays!!
Lisa

It's Mosaic Monday, and I'm linking with Mary's Little Red House.
Thanks for hosting Mary!

Beautiful mosaics this week. Love them and that tree farm sign-awesome. My favorite winter memory-hmm, that is a tough one. I would have to say snowmobiling at night with my family at Snowshoe in Canaan Valley, WV. It was absolutely beautiful and we had a great time. :)

Lovely, delightful mosaic. Your dad was smart pulling the toboggan along in a field. Mine took us out over unplowed roads uphill and down...yikes! Down was very exciting and it's still one of my favorite memories even if we did nearly all get killed.

Lisa, you have got the art of mosaic making down to a science! I am in awe of your talents. Trying to make my Christmas card mosaic is like pulling teeth, I kept thinking of your mosaics and how beautiful they are. You've inspired me to keep trying until I get it right.

What a neat memory of tobogganing behind a truck. Mine is a bit different (more smelly) as my dad would hook my sled behind the manure spreader after cleaning barn on his way to spread the manure in the field and tow me down the road behind it...if you've never followed a manure spreader at close range, you probably don't understand the 'experience'...but it was fun, sort of. LOL

Gorgeous mosaics! So peaceful.
Thanks all, for your kind comments...wouldn't it be fun to have you all over for a tour and lunch! I created this post with a certain photo in mind (the inspiration photo), then come to find it was not where I thought it was. Regretfully, I published the post without it, then spent the night tossing and turning, bugged about losing an old photo! This morning I turned the house upside down and finally found it! So after re-publishing twice, now my post is complete with inspirational photos, and now I can sleep. Ughhh, the traumas of a blogger! Hah!
to Karen: so funny about being pulled behind the manure spreader!! We too hit our share of fresh cow pies out in the pasture! Oh to be a naive kid again!
what a beautiful mosaic of your country life at Christmas. May your Christmas be spent in the company of those you love.
