Only 77 Days Until Spring

Baby, It's cold outside!

After  3 days of being snowed in,
 we decided to venture out.

So....
after walking 100 yards through knee deep snow to get to our truck,
then driving 10 miles only to find the road blocked by a huge drift,
then back-tracking to find another route
(it's now after dark)
then 3 miles from our destination we have a flat tire!!

after all that, we were still happy to be out
and amongst other living souls!!

A neighbor came and made a narrow pass from the west to our farm.
(Sall Pass is still blocked to the east, now 3-4 feet deep)
So we are able to drive in (for a little while)....

Which leaves us wondering... should we stay or should we go?
And where do we go?
And what do we do with our farm?

This post could've been called Sall's Winter "Wonder" Land.
But, the optimist that I am,
I like the thought of Spring only 77 days away!

Stay warm,

It's Mosaic Monday...I'll be linking this post to Mary's Little Red House.

Too bad you don't have oil....

You could load up the truck and move to Beverly. Hills, that is! Swimmin' pools, Movie Stars.....

When we had a snow like that, our family stayed (because we lived in town) but my brother hired a big plow to clear out the driveway and my folks and brothers did go to California! It was one bad year to live in the country!

Wishing you warmth!
Thanks for the humor Sharon! I loved that show, and yes it is too bad we don't have oil, I'd be loadin' up the truck and headin' south!
Your photographs are so clear and the snow so white, lovely!! Spring in 76 days I have better start saving for my daughters birthday March 21st!!

Keep warm and safe, Jackie in Surrey, UK.
Lisa,
Your blog looks lovelier every time I visit. The photography is amazing. Spring will be here before we know it. Stay warm.

Visiting you from Outdoor Blogger Network -- love the photographs! That is a bunch of snow you've got there. I'll stop whining about our piddly amount here in Nebraska.

Glad I found you! :)

Lisa, the photos are amazing as always. I can’t believe how much snow you have. It’s a wild ride for sure. So sorry for the flat tire and all that. HOpe you have food and heat and can stay safe and warm inside as much as you can stand :) I like the 77 days till spring too!
