A Perfect Summer Day

The "perfect summer day"
MUST be thought of
as a celebration!

Around here there
aren't many perfect days...

(I won't go there, cause you
KNOW what I mean!)

So when SUNNY ~
     85 Degrees ~
and not a STORM cloud in sight
rolls around...
it's time to
worship the day
and don't waste a second!!

I started gathering everything
I love....

The beautiful birdy plates
I've been waiting to use...
(a gift from my Jersey girlfriend)

Some cobalt blue glass ware
(because I love blue & yellow together)

(for my sister)

My table is set!

I can relax in the sun....

Maybe I'll write a letter
to a friend....

I do love getting postcards!

Or maybe I'll lose
myself in a pile
of gardening books....

I could catch up in my garden journal....

Or maybe just
chill and watch the clouds go by...

Be still my heart,
this day can not last
long enough!

Another cup of tea please!

What would you be gathering
on a perfect summer day?

Sunny smiles today and always,

oh, what a perfect day and beautiful photo shoot! i'd have my camera, my dogs, and a double gin and tonic on the deck. sadly, right now we'd all scorch to death and my bare feet would burn on the wooden planks... but our perfect day is coming. i just know it. right now perfect=rain! :)

Oh I wanna sit there and read one of your books! Maybe there's some cows waaaay of in the distance and later I could spread out a cozy quilt and take a nap?
Awesome pics makes me feel like I am right there with my toes in the grass

Have to follow your blog for the mere fact that you set a beautiful place to watch the world go by!

What a lovely picture story you tell. Makes me want to sit down and enjoy a relaxing tea with you. We had a perfect day here, too. I spent it at a daylily farm. Heaven!
