Gardening Business

Sunday
  I spent the afternoon
at one of my favorite places...

Shakespeare Garden

The annual spring meeting was held...

the agenda was filled
with progress reports, budget reports,
old business, new business,
blah, blah, blah...

I just like to be in the garden...

where the birds are singing
and talking about how it used to be
a jungle here before
the "Board Ladies" took over!

I like to imagine this
garden when it began??

and wonder if it's founders,
Clark and Emma Shay,
(in their wildest dreams)
ever thought it would
turn into such a beautiful and well-kept place.

Thank goodness for meetings,
agendas, and reports.....

and the "Board Ladies"

Because without them...
this place would still be a jungle!

and NOT
my favorite place for TEA!!!

Oh to have a garden such as that... I want to buy a home that already has one so I don't have to do the work of planting it myself.

What a beautiful garden! The 'Board Ladies' have done a magnificent job of transforming what was once an area filled with weeds and grass into a tranquil spot to get lost in!

Hi Lisa, oh , I get so bored at the board meetings, lol, I know just what you mean! It would be so much more fun to just go out and enjoy the garden, wouldn't it? (I sit on a board for a local garden group, yawn.)

What a wonderful thing to have the garden carried on; I'm sure they would be thrilled to know their garden lives on.

What a beautiful place AND they have tea?!? Doesn't get any better than that! :)
It does look like wonderful place and I enjoyed reading the inscription on the sundial. It's rather thought-provoking.

A garden is a wonderful place to visit, to ponder and think about the past. And to top off the visit with a cup of tea is perfect!

I absolutely LOVE blue willow!! ( I know I know... my soul is a lot older than my age!) This is one of the collections I had in my hope chest. Reminds me of my grandmother. She had a few of the plates. I used to sit and secretly hope that I was lucky enough to get dinner on it! She knew it was my favorite! (so it happened often... sometimes even toast :)
