Pheasant Prepping
Farm equipment has been rolling hard
for the past few weeks...
we keep hoping for rain,
but as you can see
the rains keep missing us
and we deal with the dust!
With the crops coming out of the fields
so is the wildlife...
tractors roll through
rousting up habitat,
leaving deer, birds, etc.
looking for new hang outs.
it's time to start wrapping our trees,
the bucks will be in the yard at night
using them for scraping tools.
Pheasant season opens this weekend.
Out-of-state hunters
will be flocking in,
filling up hotels and hunting lodges!
and our lonely country road
will be a temporary
freeway for pickup trucks and suburbans...
the "no hunting" signs
will be up at the end of our property,
only trying to save a little
bird population to last the whole season...
and besides our property
is our own little haven
for me to photograph
early morning pheasant guests
while they cackle and fly around the silo!
If you're a good shooter,
you should have no problem bagging
your limit...
we are seeing pheasants all over
the roads and fields on our travels
to and from town.
I hope your fall season is
full of fun
and you are able to
get out and
enjoy nature!!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Hugs,
Lisa
