Hello March

Goodbye February,

Hello March!

This has been a tough winter.

After being spoiled with mild winters

for more than 5 years,

we were not at all

prepared for the amount 

of snow and BLOWING snow 

we've had this year...

We are not out of the woods yet

but,

turning the calendar 

over to March feels 

really GOOD!

 Comfort FOOD Good!!

this weekend more snow is expected,

more wind will blow,

and I am still snowed out of 

my own house!

UGGH...

so sick of winter!!

We should be planning the garden,

and greasing the wheels on the 

manure spreader

I should be out and about

shopping for something

fresh and SPRINGY...

 Tulips should be on

my kitchen counter

cheering me on every day...

Oh my, as soon as this snow melts,

I will be flocking 

 to the first greenhouse that opens...

We have a lot of snow 

(piles of snow) to melt yet,

but have no fear...

good things are coming

happy things...

the sweet smell of spring

will show up one of these days...
