Branded for Birthday Boy

Tomorrow our grandson turns 2!!

He's a long way from Sall Farm
and we won't be able to celebrate with him,
but we were able to Skype
and watch him open
his birthday present from us.

I posted about the "SURPRISE"
Grandpa Sall was making for him
(you can see it here)

Grandpa Sall has been building wooden crates
for our Deluxe Kosher Dill Pickles
for a few years....

each one gets the "Sall Farm" logo
branded on both sides!

For Wyatt,
he decided to make
a special tool box!

with the Family Name,
Family Brand
on one side

And Wyatt's own name
painted on the other side!

Then Grandpa got the wild idea of filling it up...

with real tools!

Yep, his very own set of tools
HAMMER and all!

The grandson of a builder
needs real tools, doesn't he??

Needless to say, Wyatt loved it all!

(Mommy and Daddy are keeping the
hammer in a special place for awhile!)

Happy Building Birthday Boy!

here's a video
of Sall's Branding Iron
in action....

Thanks for stopping in today,
Have a Great Saturday!

(Be sure to check out our give-a-way!)

Wyatt is a real cutie! Happy Birthday, Wyatt!

Your husband is so talented! If you lived closer, I'd have to hire him to build me some goodies. :)

The video worked fine for me, and a good one it is. I would love to brand something, looks like fun! Happy birthday Wyatt, now you and Grandpa will have to build something together.

What a lovely idea your husband had
and how skilled to make a tool box.
It's something to be cherished, used, and kept for ever,as I'm sure it will be.:)

I have a two year old grandson too who already has a collection of real tools. He won't touch the plastic toy ones! Very nice box and thats sure to be a treasured piece of family history.
