Rural Thursday
In the neighborhood....
the pheasant count
is excellent!
babies of various sizes
all over the roads...
this group is heading
north down 370th Avenue
(that's straight towards our backyard!)
the meadows are still pretty...
a baby meadowlark
is wondering where the
nearest bath is?...
A couple of raindrops fell this morning
our morning glories lit up
with delight....
the wheat harvest is done,
golden bales
dot the countryside...
Farmers will probably move
right on into the corn fields
and start cutting corn for sileage...
the weeds are still green
the grass in our backyard is dead
and the poor finches are eating
anything we throw out!!
Happy to have you here,
next time could you bring a little rain with ya?
Hugs,
Lisa
